Soda-Club is the leading player in the in-home carbonation market, a beverage concept that it has been marketing since 1991. The Company manufactures in-home carbonation systems, which allow the consumer to carbonate water and to flavor carbonated beverages at home from tap water as an alternative to purchasing such drinks pre-packed in bottles and cans. The Company also provides accessories and related consumables, including bottles, flavored concentrates, gas cylinders and the provision of gas refills. The Company is privately held and had revenues of more than $100 million in 2007.

Soda-Club maintains a solid brand name in its markets and is introducing new and innovative products in order to maintain its leadership position. The Company recently released a new and innovative machine known as the Penguin that has a sleek design and utilizes a glass bottle rather than a plastic bottle (plastic is the only kind of bottle offered by competitors). Soda-Club plans to introduce additional new products in the near future.
The Company markets its products directly and through distributors in several countries, including: Germany Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Austria, Greece, France, United States and United Kingdom. The Company is considering expanding into new geographic locations, including Eastern European countries like Poland and Ukraine, where there is a high consumption rate of carbonated water.
Soon after our investment in the company, we replaced management and hired Daniel Birnbaum as the CEO. Daniel brings with him a plethora of experience with consumer marketing, having most recently held the position of the general manager of Nike Israel and having held senior positions at Procter & Gamble and Pillsbury. We believe that together with Daniel we can further enhance Soda-Club's leadership position in the worldwide in-home carbonation market.
