Fortissimo invested in NUR Macroprinters (“NUR”) in October 2005 and acquired a controlling interest in the company. We were able to restructure the existing bank debt of NUR so that of the $43 million debt previously outstanding, $19 million was written-off, $11 million was classified as long term debt (with no principal payments for 2 years) and the remainder was classified as short term debt.
After orchestrating a turn-around that included replacing senior management, introducing new products, entering new regions, and increasing revenues and gross margins while decreasing COGS, we successfully sold NUR to Hewlett Packard in 2008 for $123 million.
