Kornit Digital (Nasdaq: KRNT) develops, designs and markets digital printing solutions for the global printed textile industry.
Kornit offers the apparel and textile industries a line of printers and proprietary textile inks that enable digital Direct to Garment (DTG) printing. Featuring a unique balance between the development of high-end industrial digital inkjet printers and revolutionary chemistry applications, the groundbreaking technology of DTG printing offers custom printers a complete and wide-ranging solution, enabling them to effectively and efficiently reach optimum digital printing results on a large variety of textile applications and finished garments.
Kornit’s innovations include initiating white digital ink for garment printing, providing the garment industry with the ability to print on dark fabrics.
Kornit has also combined digital printing technology with screen printing to allow for innovative designs. With this unique technological innovation one can combine digital imaging with multiple screen printing applications, by using both technologies in a single efficient continuous process.
Kornit recently expanded their product offering to include the Allegro system for the roll-to-roll (R2R) market, which is another segment of the printed textile industry. In R2R printing, rolls of fabric pass in-line through wide-format inkjet printers that are utilized to directly print images and designs onto rolling fabric. While the DTG market generally involves printing on finished garments, the R2R market is focused on printing on fabrics that are subsequently converted into finished garments. Allegro utilizes Kornit’s proprietary wet-on-wet printing methodology and houses an integrated dryer within the system, making it the first single-step, stand-alone R2R digital textile printing solution available on the market.
Kornit’s most recent product is the Vulcan DTG printing system, a cost-effective digital alternative to carousel screen printing that enables mass production of customized garments for the DTG market. The Vulcan enables customers to print small runs at throughputs comparable to those achieved through carousel screen printing.
Kornit was founded in 2003 and has offices in Israel, the United States, Europe, and Asia Pacific and operates a wide network of distribution channels across the globe.
